Every year, the Med MDIO Executive Board together with the Country Representatives of each one of the member countries, choose the best Project held by a Rotaract club in the Mediterranean area. This club is gifted with The Med Outstanding Project Award, which is given during the gala dinner of the Mediterranean Convention. The awarded project comes out of all the projects which, after having successfully completed their registration, have submitted their evaluation before the announced deadline.

The other prize given by the Rotaract Med MDIO each year is the Mediterranean Prize for Peace, which recognises the work done by a mediterranean Rotaract Club promoting and, eventually, achieving peace in their communities. This club is awarded with The Mediterranean Prize for Peacewhich is also given during the gala dinner of the Mediterranean Convention. The Prize for Peace awarded club comes out of all the projects which, after having successfully completed their registration, have submitted their evaluation before the announced deadline.

These club-based awards recognise the effort made by the members of the Rotaract club in charge of their execution, and because of that, no District or National-based projects can be eligible for this award.

The Med Outstanding Project Award and Mediterranean Prize for Peace conditions and bylaws are set in the Official Med MDIO Guidelines.
